HethelSport has compiled this kit of factory Lotus parts for those wishing to convert their two heavy tailgate gas struts to a lighter, single, fail-proof race-inspired prop-rod.

This kit is also useful for those that have converted to either our HS410 Louvered Tailgate or the factory Lotus louvered tailgate.

While designed for louvered tailgates, with some ingenuity, this kit can be adapted to the glass engine cover tailgates as well.

Our kit includes the prop-rod, upper holding assembly, resting holder, and hardware (items highlighted in red above). This kit is provided without instructions and requires drilling and basic mechanical skills to assemble, position, and install.

These items are genuine OE Lotus items from an authorized U.K. Lotus distributor and are shipped directly from us in the United States. Continental U.S. delivery is included.
