Our brand new Louver Tailgate Panel is direct replacement for the original glass panel for all 2010~2014 U.S. Evora & Evora S cars as well as all 2016+ 400/410/430 cars equipped with a glass panel. The louvered open venting design looks racy and aids engine compartment cooling. The construction is a single layer panel to assist in weight savings.
Installation is very straightforward however removal of the original glass can be difficult if the glass is to be saved and we recommend an experience automotive glass professional to remove it in one piece. However, as an alternative, many of our owner-installed panels are fitted after the owner covered the engine bay, protected the car and the people around, and simple broke the glass. Although tedious to clean up, once shattered, the glass bits can be easily removed from the sealants, and the tailgate frame opening can be cleaned for the new panel—obviously, please protect the car and people.
Every Louvered Tailgate Panel is individually hand-crafted to match the OEM level of fit and finish, and is available in fiberglass with an exclusive 2K matte-black finish or glossy “pre-preg” dry carbon fiber construction (lighter and stronger than our previous carbon overlay).
As with all composite fiberglass pieces, prep & pre-finish work may be needed prior to final painting. Exposed carbon fiber finishes are clear coated with UV protection however due to the nature of composite production, carbon fiber finishes may have minor imperfections.
